Competency based instrument rating

The Competency-Based Instrument Rating (CB-IR) is an efficient and flexible way for private and commercial pilots to obtain IFR privileges.

By crediting previous IFR experience and allowing training both within and outside an ATO, it significantly reduces training time and cost while maintaining full IR privileges.
