Location

Your flight takes place at Lelystad Airport (EHLE), the busiest General Aviation airport in the Netherlands. The airport is always alive with activity, giving you a dynamic, authentic aviation experience. From the flight school, you’ll have a fantastic view of the runway and the bustling airport operations.

Theory & Briefing

Your experience begins with a comprehensive briefing from an experienced instructor. During this session, you’ll learn:

• How a twin-engine aircraft operates
• The advanced glass cockpit (Garmin avionics)
• What you will be doing during your flight
• Safety, procedures, and air traffic communication

Are you coming with a partner, friend, or family? They are welcome to join the briefing so they can fully share in the experience.
The briefing lasts approximately 15 minutes.

Practical – Twin Engine in Action

After the briefing, you’ll head to the Diamond DA42 with your instructor. Together, you’ll perform a pre-flight check and prepare the aircraft for takeoff. Once both engines start, you immediately feel the power and stability of a twin-engine aircraft.

Through your headset, you’ll hear the instructor and air traffic control as you taxi and request takeoff. Then it’s time: takeoff with two engines!

During the flight, you’ll get hands-on experience under the instructor’s supervision. You’ll learn to:

• Handle the power and stability of a twin-engine aircraft
• Manage the cockpit like a professional pilot
• Navigate, climb, and perform coordinated turns

The instructor will handle the final part of the landing. If you wish to enjoy the view, take photos, or film, the instructor can temporarily take control so you can fully capture the experience.
